Anglesea in colour and monochrome.
The weekend took me, albeit briefly, to Anglesea and the beginning of the Great Ocean road. The sun did it’s best to stay behind the coulds resulting in a windy, wintry weekend.
Given this current weather trend, monochrome just seemed to fit…

*As a demonstration of how I work in post, there are a few images that make an appearance in both galleries. My strong advice is to shoot in colour for all black and white work. Reason being; the latitude afforded to you when converting to black and white.

Parrots and Cockatoos…
This inquisitive King Parrot interrupted my sunday morning coffee by waddling across the table looking for seeds, the Sulphur Crested Cockatoo wasn’t quite so tame, but still wasn’t far behind. Needless to say, it’s not too often one shoots birds with a macro lens.
Barrels.
Nestled up in the northern King Valley is Pizzini Winery (see map below). Whilst most people head straight for the cellar door, I got distracted by the oak barrels on the way in…

Sydney, from 2500ft…
I’ve previously introduced Matt and James’s Aerial Photography Company last year with a flight down the Victorian coastline to visit the 12 Apostles. This weekend in Sydney taught us that flying a low-winged plane and shooting into the sun isn’t the best platform for aerial photography. Not that I’m complaining, it was an awesome flight…

Homeward Bound…
As the Greyhound slipped along the Trans-Canada into the night, I managed one last longing look back to the mountains that had been home for the last two weeks. Having barely scratched the surface of what this area has to offer, I know I’ll be back again.
That’s it for this trip, I’m on the way home to Melbourne.
